Year Verses

In January it will be time to share our Year Verses

Send us your year verse before February 14th - email it to alumniconnect@vcaa.net

For several years President Harris carried on the Year Verse tradition via email.
More recently, VC alumni have shared their verses here at the VCAA website.
The 2021 Year Verse list is posted - Festival of Praise

Also at the Year Verses page, the Festival of Praise Archive.
For a special blessing now, visit the year verse archives for reminders of
God's blessings and promises.

The Vennard tradition of having a Year Verse and/or a Life Verse goes all the way back to our founder. Dr. Vennard would prayerfully select a verse for each graduating senior, and hand-write that verse on a card that she would present to the student. At right is one of these cards, written for Miss Ellis.

Dorothy Lanz shared with us:
This verse was given to my husband, James Lanz,
by Dr. Iva Vennard.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.~~John 15:16 KJV
