Psalms 105:4 "Search for the Lord and for His strength and keep on searching." (reveals our constant need for dependence on Him)

Isaiah 43:1b-3a NIV: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.  For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel."

Jeremiah 18:1-6 "1 This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message." 3 So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel. 4 But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. 5 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the Lord. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel."
Dave McGaffey

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." After 15 years as a nurse at Baylor in Dallas, the unit I worked on closed. I am in the midst of transition, searching for a new job, but trusting in the one who knows the future and knows the best spot for me. This verse is especially comforting and one I live with at this time.
Joy Wease Boutakov

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Thank you Lord, help me keep my eyes on You!

Matthew 7:7-11 Keep on asking and you will receive.  Keep on seeking and you will find.  Keep on knocking and doors will be opened to you…how much more will the Lord give to them that ask…”
Tim Roehl

Luke 8:21 "...hear the word of God and do it." A reminder I want to take with me all this year, that you must be close enough to God to know when he is speaking, but then you must also act on that word.
Sandy Harris

Acts 20:24 "I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given to me---the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."
The current life situation for me is that I now have reached the age of 87 years and am a part of the Redeemer U.M. Church's prayer team. This team meets every Tuesday at 1 P.M. to study the list of prayer request and praise notes received in the services of week end just completed . The list started with perhaps a dozen items when a young man came home from a Promise Keeper's gathering in the Detroit area. He had been invited to go and went there reluctantly and determined that he would not respond to the altar call. He managed to follow his decision to keep that choice. There was a change to come when he stopped for a burger in
Dewitt. The Holy Spirit was there and he fell under conviction at the table where he surrendered to Christ ! A short time later he suggested the prayer request gathered on the week end be taken up by a team of lay people on a regular basis.  That team came into being with a dozen members and when we moved to the area I was asked to join the group.  That list of request now usually had 50 or more items and that is one evidence that this is becoming a "house of prayer".

2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT "And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." I want to be so full of Jesus that He spills out to others around me!
Shirley Roehl

2 Cor 4:17-18 (NIV) "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
Dora (Brantley) Wesche

Galatians 2:20 (KJV) "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
Mitchell Cotrone

Ephesians 5:15,16 "See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." These verses remind me to live on-guard in my choices and to make the most of every moment, for Jesus’ sake.
Renee (Degenkolb) Tuning

Philippians 4:8 “...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Sherri Williams

Colossians 2:6-7   "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." My word for this year is JOY.  I purpose to overflow with thankfulness as I live in Christ Jesus.
