Psalm 42:1-2 (NCV)

"As a deer thirsts for streams of water, so I thirst for You, God. I thirst for the living God. When can I go to meet with God."  This verse came to me one day when I was riding in my car. God and I have a special sign or icon or whatever you want to call it. I love to ride in the car and look for deer. At times when I am down, troubled or just need to be reminded that God is near; He shows me a deer and often at the time of day when you ordinarily don’t see a deer. I most often feel the closest to God when I ride in the car and talk with Him. I turned my life over to Him 27 years ago while driving in my car and that is where I feel the closest to Him.   Mary Roozeboom

Psalm 42:2 “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”  I want to experience God in a deeper way this year.   Larry Carr

Isaiah 40:28-31 "Have you not heard?  The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth.  He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding.  He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless.  Youths may faint and grow weary, and yung men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint."    Dr. Robert Morris

Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."  THAT is what the Lord is doing for me right now. I praise HIM for His perfect love, joy, peace and comfort during these difficult days.   Marion Lewton

II Cor. 3:16-4:18 "We do not lose heart.: My  verse for 2010 comes from a longer portion of the Word that runs from .II Cor. 3:16-4:18.   The outstanding affirmation is twice recorded " WE DO NOT LOSE HEART" and is found in 4:1 and in 4:16. I claim this set of verses in their context as both promise and guidance this year.   Verne Summers

Ephesians 6:13..18 "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God...praying always..." I had been looking at an entirely different verse for this year, one about peace and comfort. Then, reading the Dec. 16th entry in "My Utmost For His Highest," this verse and the reading fastened on and would not let go. So, the whole armour it is.  Sandy Harris

II Peter 1:19 "So we have the prophetic word confirmed.  You will do well to pay attention to it as you would to a light that shines in a dark place until the day dawns and the Daystart arises in your hearts…”   Dr. Tim Roehl
